Singapore has reclaimed the top spot on the Henley Passport Index, achieving visa-free access to 195 destinations out of 227 worldwide, setting a new record. This distinguishes it from the previous top six countries, which now rank second with access to 192 destinations.
The UK and the US have seen declines in their rankings, with the UK in fourth place and the US in eighth. The global mobility gap has widened, with Singapore having 169 more visa-free destinations than Afghanistan, which remains the lowest-ranked passport with access to just 26 countries.

Dr. Christian H. Kaelin, Chairman of Henley & Partners, says: “The global average number of destinations travelers are able to access visa-free has nearly doubled from 58 in 2006 to 111 in 2024. However, the global mobility gap between those at the top and bottom of the index is now wider than it has ever been, with top-ranked Singapore able to access a record-breaking 169 more destinations visa-free than Afghanistan.”
