Progress has announced the early-access release of MarkLogic Server 12, introducing powerful generative AI capabilities. The update enhances search accuracy with native vector support and new relevance-based algorithms, enabling organizations to integrate secure AI-powered applications.

Key features include Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) to improve AI responses, BM25 relevance ranking for more precise search results, and graph shortest path to enhance recommendation systems. Additionally, the release includes MarkLogic Flux, which offers improved data movement and transformation capabilities.

This upgrade aims to help enterprises leverage AI more effectively while ensuring data security and performance.
