Vietnam and China signed 10 agreements on October 13, covering areas such as cross-border railway expansion, payments via QR codes, and economic cooperation. The agreements followed talks between Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Chinese Premier Li Qiang, focusing on a rail link between Lao Cai (Vietnam) and Hekou (China’s Yunnan province). They also discussed a cross-border payment system and a study for an economic cooperation zone.

Both sides expressed a commitment to managing and resolving differences in maritime issues.
