A partnership between Singapore’s National Healthcare Group, Nanyang Technological University, NHG Polyclinics, and the Institute of Mental Health is developing SoundKeepers, a voice-based AI tool and community program to detect early depression in seniors.
The three-year project involves over 600 participants aged 55+ from Hougang and Woodlands polyclinics. NTU’s AI model will analyze voice samples for acoustic markers, potentially indicating neurobiological changes related to depression.
