Carousell announced it is cutting 76 roles, or 7% of its workforce, across its regional offices to align with market realities and focus on sustainable growth. About 60% of the affected roles are in Singapore, with the rest spread across its Southeast Asia, India, Hong Kong, and Taiwan offices. Impacted employees will receive at least three months’ compensation, encashment of benefits, accelerated stock vesting, and extended medical coverage until June 2025. Carousell is also providing career counselling and emotional support. CEO Quek Siu Rui communicated the layoffs during a company-wide town hall.
