Singapore tightens enforcement at Woodlands Checkpoint ahead of festive season

Singapore’s Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) will step up enforcement at the Woodlands Checkpoint from February 13–17, aiming to deter speeding, queue-cutting and other traffic violations as travellers head across the border during the festive season.

The authority highlighted that eight traffic violations were detected in January, and warned that foreign-registered drivers may face entry bans while local offenders could be referred to Singapore’s Traffic Police for further action.

ICA urged motorists to obey instructions, maintain lane discipline and cooperate with officers to ensure safer, more efficient travel through the key land border link with Malaysia.
