Pay Adjustment Aimed At Retaining Educators
Singapore will increase salaries for about 36,000 education staff, including teachers and allied educators, with adjustments ranging from 2% to 9% starting October 1.
The Ministry of Education said the salary revision is intended to keep pay competitive and help attract and retain quality educators within the system.

The increase will benefit around 33,000 education officers, 1,700 allied educators and 1,100 kindergarten educators under the ministry.
Officials noted that salaries for these groups were last reviewed in 2022, and the latest adjustment reflects efforts to close gaps with market benchmarks.
The ministry added that beyond salary increases, it will continue providing career development opportunities to support educators throughout their careers.
