SINGAPORE, Aug 3, 2026 — Singapore-based startup Atomionics has launched Asia’s first integrated quantum sensing hub at Alexandra Technopark, consolidating development, assembly, and testing of its advanced quantum sensing technology under one roof.
The 5,700 sq ft facility houses laboratories for physics, mechanical assembly, electronics, and artificial intelligence systems that process gravity measurements into subsurface models. A gallery showcases the evolution of Atomionics’ quantum sensors, including demonstrations of its flagship GRAVIO system, which uses laser-controlled atoms in free fall to measure changes in Earth’s gravitational field.

The opening coincides with Atomionics’ announcement of a quantum gravimetry system for marine applications, designed to map underwater environments in three dimensions — through the water column, across the seabed, and into geological layers below. Supported by Enterprise Singapore and Cap Vista, the investment arm of Singapore’s Defence Science and Technology Agency (DSTA), the project highlights potential dual-use applications in defence and security.
GRAVIO has already been deployed commercially in mining, producing underground models with over 95% accuracy compared to drill-hole data. Atomionics’ long-term vision is to create continuously updated three-dimensional maps of Earth’s subsurface, spanning both land and ocean environments.
Brief (20 words): Atomionics opens Asia’s first quantum sensing hub in Singapore, advancing GRAVIO technology for marine and subsurface mapping with global applications.
