Anthropic has opened a Singapore office, its fifth in Asia-Pacific, and signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Ministry of Digital Development and Information (MDDI). MDDI Permanent Secretary Chng Kai Fong and Anthropic co-founder Ben Mann signed the agreement on the sidelines of Singapore International Cyber Week.
Safety Testing Focus
Under the MOU, Anthropic plans technical exchanges with Singapore’s AI safety, security and assurance institutions on model evaluation, testing standards and incident response. It will also share research and data, including from its Anthropic Economic Index. The new office will support existing Claude users such as GovTech Singapore, DBS and Grab.
