Profound, an artificial intelligence (AI) marketing platform, has made Singapore its Asia Pacific headquarters, the company announced on Monday (Nov 2), with plans to open an office in the Central Business District in the fourth quarter of 2026.

The company said its regional leadership, go-to-market and customer teams will be based in Singapore, serving customers across Southeast Asia, Japan, Australia and New Zealand.

Hiring plans

Profound plans to fill more than 15 roles in Singapore over the next 12 months. These include a general manager for Asia-Pacific, as well as account executives, go-to-market associates, engagement managers and account managers.

Members of the company’s New York team will also move to Singapore for a year to help build the regional team, according to the statement.

Profound describes its product as a workbench where marketers research, write, report and collaborate, with tools that include an “AI Marketer” and AI agents. Its release said the platform is used by 16 per cent of Fortune 500 companies, and named brands such as The Estée Lauder Companies, Comcast, Walmart, Zoom and MongoDB among its customers. The firm raised US$180 million in a Series D round in September 2026, co-led by Sequoia Capital and Kleiner Perkins.

Why Singapore

Co-founder and chief executive James Cadwallader said: “Singapore is the natural home for our next chapter.”

The company cited Stanford HAI’s 2026 AI Index, which it said ranks Singapore as the most active AI adopter in Asia-Pacific and second globally, with 61 per cent of the population using AI tools.

Profound also said it analysed 1.8 million anonymised ChatGPT and Gemini conversations from Singapore users. It found that the share of conversations about researching, comparing or buying products and services rose 23 per cent between January and September 2026.

Ling Yuan Chun, senior vice-president and head of global ventures at the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB), said in the release that Profound will create new job opportunities in Singapore, and that EDB looks forward to supporting the company’s growth here.

Regional events

The announcement coincided with Zero Click Singapore, held on Oct 29 at Raffles Hotel, which the company said was its first Zero Click conference in Asia-Pacific after an event in Sydney on Oct 27. Profound also held a recruiting event in Singapore on Oct 30.
