Singapore’s non-oil domestic exports (NODX) grew by 9.3 per cent in January 2026, driven largely by a surge in electronic product shipments tied to artificial intelligence (AI) sectors, according to data from Enterprise Singapore. Electronics exports — including integrated circuits and disk media products — expanded significantly, while non-electronics exports declined slightly.

Singapore’s non-oil re-exports (NORX) also climbed — especially in electronics — contributing to a 23.8 per cent increase in total merchandise trade, extending growth seen in December 2025 despite uneven sector performance.

EnterpriseSG noted growth to major trading partners like China, Hong Kong and the European Union, even as exports to the United States and Indonesia softened, underscoring Singapore’s role in global technology supply chains.
